Security and data
How Renom handles your data
Each workspace's data is kept separately and only its members can see it; New Odyssey staff access it only to fix a problem you ask about, and each access is recorded. Data is hosted with Render in the United States and the Google access token is encrypted. Review text and voice notes go to Anthropic to draft replies and sort themes; customer contact details don't, and the provider doesn't train on it.
What Renom holds
- Locations, reviews read from Google and other review sites, and the replies you draft and approve.
- Customers you ask for reviews: name, email address and/or mobile number, and the location they visited.
- Each request's history: when it went out, whether it was opened, the rating and private note given, and whether the customer went on to the review page.
- Text messages sent and received, with consent and opt-out records.
- Google Business Profile access, encrypted.
- Alerts, weekly summaries and your team's accounts.
How long it’s kept, and how to export or delete it
Customer records and their requests are deleted automatically once a customer hasn't been asked for the period you choose (6 months to 5 years, 2 years unless you change it). Owners and admins can export everything, forget one customer (their address stays on the do-not-contact list) or delete the whole workspace in Settings.
The full detail is in Renom’s data export and deletion policy.
Who processes it
Service providers (subprocessors), each on our instructions and only for the purpose shown:
- Render: hosting, databases and backups, in the United States.
- Stripe: subscription and license payments (card details go to Stripe, never to us).
- Resend: sending email.
- Anthropic: drafting review replies and spotting recurring complaints.
- Twilio: text messages, only when texting is switched on (with The Campaign Registry for US text registration).

Questions buyers ask
How does Renom handle customer data and AI?
Only members of the business's workspace can see its Renom data, and each workspace is kept separately. Renom sends review text and voice notes to Anthropic to draft replies and sort themes, but not customer contact details, and the provider doesn't train on it. Customer records are deleted automatically after the chosen period, two years by default.
